About the Alaska System of Academic Readiness (AK STAR)
The Alaska System of Academic Readiness (AK STAR) is Alaska’s official statewide math assessment for elementary students. It is typically administered March–May and measures whether students have mastered the math skills outlined in the Alaska Mathematics Standards (AK Standards).
For the grade 3 math portion, the AK STAR includes questions on multiplication & division, place value & computation, fractions, time, mass & volume, plus additional topics. Expect multiple-choice, short-answer, and performance-based question types.
Our practice tests are designed to match the format, difficulty, and content of the real AK STAR, so students know exactly what to expect on test day.
