About the Maine Through Year Assessment (MTYA)
Designed around the Maine Learning Results: Mathematics (MLR), the Maine Through Year Assessment (MTYA) is Maine’s annual math assessment, taken by elementary students during fall and spring.
On the MTYA, grade 3 math students are assessed across topics such as multiplication & division, place value & computation, fractions, time, mass & volume, and additional areas. Expect a mix of multiple-choice, short-answer, and performance-based questions.
