About the Mississippi Academic Assessment Program (MAAP)

The Mississippi Academic Assessment Program (MAAP) is the official math assessment for Mississippi students. Administered April–May, it evaluates student mastery of the skills and concepts outlined in the Mississippi College- and Career-Readiness Standards: Mathematics (MS CCRS).

The MAAP at the grade 3 math level covers a broad range of math skills, including multiplication & division, place value & computation, fractions, time, mass & volume. Question types range from multiple-choice to short-answer and performance tasks.
