About the Vermont Smarter Balanced Assessment (SBAC)
During March–June, Vermont students participate in the Vermont Smarter Balanced Assessment (SBAC), a statewide assessment covering math skills required by the Vermont Common Core State Standards: Mathematics (VT CCSS).
The grade 3 math portion of the SBAC tests students on a wide range of topics, including multiplication & division, place value & computation, fractions, time, mass & volume, and more. Questions include multiple-choice, short-answer, and sometimes performance-based items.
Our practice tests follow the SBAC blueprint, matching difficulty levels and question formats so students feel confident on test day.
