About the Arizona’s Academic Standards Assessment (AASA)
During March–April, Arizona students participate in the Arizona’s Academic Standards Assessment (AASA), a statewide assessment covering math skills required by the Arizona Mathematics Standards (AZ Standards).
For grade 5 math, the AASA assesses knowledge across areas like decimal operations, fraction operations, expressions & patterns, volume & measurement, and more. Students encounter multiple-choice, constructed-response, and performance-based items.
We’ve aligned our practice tests to the AASA in every way — content coverage, question types, and difficulty — so students are truly ready.
