About the Mississippi Academic Assessment Program (MAAP)
In Mississippi, the Mississippi Academic Assessment Program (MAAP) is the standard math assessment for elementary students. Given April–May, it evaluates skills from the Mississippi College- and Career-Readiness Standards: Mathematics (MS CCRS).
At the grade 5 math level, the MAAP tests a full range of skills including decimal operations, fraction operations, expressions & patterns, volume & measurement. Assessment formats include multiple-choice, open-ended, and performance-based questions.
