About the Kentucky Summative Assessment (KSA)

The Kentucky Summative Assessment (KSA) is administered to Kentucky students April–May. It is the state’s primary measure of math achievement, aligned to the Kentucky Academic Standards: Mathematics (KAS).

The grade 7 math section of the KSA covers ratios & proportional relationships, operations with rational numbers, expressions & equations, geometry, plus additional subjects. The exam features multiple-choice, short-answer, and performance-style questions.
