About the Arizona’s Academic Standards Assessment — High School (AASA)

Arizona students take the Arizona’s Academic Standards Assessment — High School (AASA) to demonstrate proficiency in Algebra 1 concepts. The test is given March–April and measures mastery of the Arizona Mathematics Standards (AZ Standards).

The Algebra 1 AASA tests students on foundations of algebra, linear equations & inequalities, introduction to functions, linear functions & graphing, systems of equations & inequalities, and more. Questions include multiple-choice, short-answer, and sometimes performance-based items.

Students who practice with our exams will recognize the AASA format immediately — we match the real test in content, structure, and rigor.
