About the Kansas Assessment Program — High School Math (KAP)

Each year, Kansas administers the Kansas Assessment Program — High School Math (KAP) to assess student achievement in Algebra 1. This assessment, given March–May, is aligned to the Kansas Mathematics Standards (KS Standards).

The Algebra 1 KAP tests students on foundations of algebra, linear equations & inequalities, introduction to functions, linear functions & graphing, systems of equations & inequalities, and more. Questions include multiple-choice, short-answer, and sometimes performance-based items.

Our tests are modeled on the KAP format, covering the same topics at the same difficulty level — the best preparation for test day.
