About the Tennessee Comprehensive Assessment Program — Algebra 1 End-of-Course (TCAP EOC)

Tennessee students take the Tennessee Comprehensive Assessment Program — Algebra 1 End-of-Course (TCAP EOC) to demonstrate proficiency in Algebra 1 concepts. The test is given April–May and measures mastery of the Tennessee Mathematics Standards (TN Standards).

The Algebra 1 TCAP EOC tests students on foundations of algebra, linear equations & inequalities, introduction to functions, linear functions & graphing, systems of equations & inequalities, and more. Questions include multiple-choice, short-answer, and sometimes performance-based items.

Each practice test is modeled after the actual TCAP EOC — same topics, same types of questions, and the same level of challenge.
