About the Pennsylvania Keystone Exam — Algebra 1 (Keystone)

The Pennsylvania Keystone Exam — Algebra 1 (Keystone) serves as Pennsylvania’s official measurement of Algebra 1 competency. Conducted January, May, July, it tests the standards set out in the Pennsylvania Core Standards: Mathematics (PA Core).

The Algebra 1 Keystone tests students on foundations of algebra, linear equations & inequalities, introduction to functions, linear functions & graphing, systems of equations & inequalities, and more. Questions include multiple-choice, short-answer, and sometimes performance-based items.

We designed our practice exams to closely replicate the Keystone experience — same format, similar difficulty, and matching content coverage.
