About the State of Texas Assessments of Academic Readiness — Algebra I End-of-Course (STAAR EOC)

During April–May (primary); June, December (retest), Texas students participate in the State of Texas Assessments of Academic Readiness — Algebra I End-of-Course (STAAR EOC), an assessment covering Algebra 1 skills required by the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills for Mathematics (TEKS).

The Algebra 1 STAAR EOC tests students on foundations of algebra, linear equations & inequalities, introduction to functions, linear functions & graphing, systems of equations & inequalities, and more. Questions include multiple-choice, short-answer, and sometimes performance-based items.

We designed our practice exams to closely replicate the STAAR EOC experience — same format, similar difficulty, and matching content coverage.
